Vieaux Named Big Ten Freshman of the Week

EAST LANSING - Michigan State redshirt freshman pitcher Cam Vieaux was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week, it was announced by the conference on Monday, March 31. Vieaux is the second Spartan to earn the award this season, joiningWalter Borkovich (March 3).
Vieaux pitched MSU to a 5-0 win in game two of a doubleheader sweep at Minnesota on Sunday. In what was his second-career start, Vieaux tossed six-complete scoreless innings, yielding just three hits. He struck out a season-high five batters and walked two. The win bumped Vieaux's record to 3-2 on the year as the victory was his first in a starting role.
On the season, the native of Novi has a 2.31 ERA and a strikeout-to-walk ratio of 3-to-1.

Cam Vieaux pitches 1st Career Complete Game in a win against Purdue
The Spartans rode starting pitcher Cam Vieaux to a win in game two as the redshirt freshman tossed his first-career complete game, limiting the Boilermakers to just five hits. Vieaux finished with six strikeouts and no walks as he picked up his fifth win of the season.
