The sparks flew on Friday night as the Walled Lake Western Warriors fired on all cylinders against the hosting Knights of Walled Lake Northern. Western got on the board early scoring at the 6:13 mark of the first quarter when Sam Welch hooked up with Dave Menoian on a four yd TD strike. From then on Western never looked back including a 27 point third quarter. In all on the night six different Warriors would score touchdowns resulting in a 40 � 10 victory. This is the sixth straight year Western captured �The Battle of the Wall� trophy given annual to the winner of this match up. The win is also the first leg to winning the 2008 Walled Lake City Championship. Walled Lake Western(3-1) now travels to White Lake Lakeland (3-1) to play for sole possession of first place in the North Division of the KLAA. Kickoff at 7:00 PM.
