With a win Friday night vs. Waterford Mott, Walled Lake Western earned their first victory in the newly formed North Division of the KLAA Conference. The Warrior Defense would lead the way with two first half turnovers and add two more in the second half. Those turnovers would translate into a 14 point lead at half giving Western a 21-7 lead. However, in the second half the Corsairs would mount a comeback pulling within seven in the fourth quarter. The Warriors would hang on by adding a late field goal. An interception late in the fourth helped seal the 31-21 victory. The Warriors (2-1) will now prepare for their next game against Walled Lake Northern. The Knights come into the game with a 1-2 record. In their last outing, Walled Lake Northern was beaten by Lakeland, 34-20. Kickoff 7:00 pm at Walled Lake Northern. next week
