On Friday night the 2015 Warriors left their mark on Western football history in more ways than one. With a win they became just third team in school history to complete a perfect regular season joining the 1992 & 1999 teams, the Warriors also rewrote the record books in the 68-20 victory over Detroit Delta Prep Academy for Justice. The Warrior offense set the tone for the evening besting the previous school record for points in a game of 63 set in 1971. Jake Prokes lead the way scoring three of his school record six touchdowns in a game in the first quarter, this topped the previous mark of five scores in a game that was shared by 4 previous players. Prokes also set the record for points scored in a game with 36. Kicker John Camilleri also tied a school record for extra points in a game with nine tying the previous mark set in 1971 and is now 1 extra point shy of the record in a season with 48.

This was a prolific offensive season which saw Western set a new school record for points in a regular with 386 total points. The Warriors now look following in the footsteps of the last two unbeaten regular season teams at Western both of which made it to the state finals. In the first round of the playoffs, they will face off against a familiar foe in the Walled Lake Northern Knights this Friday night 7:00 pm @ Walled Lake Western.
