The AP releases 2015 All-State Team

For the second straight year Walled Lake Western seniors John Camilleri and Kyle Thomas have been named to the AP All-State Team.

Thomas led the most prolific offensive team in Westerns’ storied football history scoring 522 points and shattering the previous mark set in 2013. Kyle finished off a spectacular career with a season where he passed for a school record 2,404 yards, while throwing for 25 touchdowns and rushing for 12 additional touchdowns.

Camilleri followed up his 2014 Dream Team season with some spectacular numbers of his own in 2015. John hit for 12 FG for the second straight year, while also going 63 of 66 on PATs. On his kickoffs he had 33 touchbacks and had a punting avg of 32.8 yards. Camilleri finished his Warriors career tied for career field goals with 24.

Each of these young men had a great season in helping the Warriors to their first semi-final appearance since 2011 and third straight KLAA Conference Title. The AP named Camilleri Special Mention Kicker meaning he received two or more first place votes from the panel. Thomas was named Honorable Mention at QB receiving at least one vote form the panel. Congratulations to both of these great players!
